Abstract
EN : The work is presented on 82 pages of printed text, contains 4 figures, 1 table, 3 appendices. The list of references includes 104 sources. The object of the study is the Holodomor as a transgenerational trauma. The relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that the Holodomor left a great imprint on the consciousness of the population of Ukraine, which negatively affected not only the generation that witnessed the crimes of the Soviet regime, but also the second and third generations. Mental trauma, behavioral patterns, emotional reactions, low self-esteem, anxiety can be transmitted between generations through complex transgenerational mechanisms. That is why the study of transgenerational trauma is relevant for Ukrainian society. It is worth mentioning that in the history of other peoples there are also examples when children inherited trauma from their parents, for example, the Holocaust - the genocide of the Jews. Scientific novelty – the concepts of collective and transgenerational trauma, their specificities in Ukraine, the psychological and physical consequences of prolonged starvation were analyzed, attention is drawn to similar experiences in the history of other countries and peoples, and methods of working with the trauma of the Holodomor are considered.
