Abstract

The object of the study is the self-esteem of children of primary school age in wartime conditions. The modern realities of Ukraine are associated with the war, which has been going on for over 12 years and has a significant impact on various spheres of people's social life, in particular on the psycho-emotional state of children. Children of primary school age are particularly sensitive to changes in the external environment, and their perception of themselves and the formation of self-esteem are largely determined by the influence of their immediate environment. Wartime conditions create a situation of constant tension for the child. Air raids, staying in shelters, changing the usual way of life, sometimes moving or separation from loved ones - all this directly affects their emotional state. In this process, the family is of paramount importance, primarily parents, who provide emotional support, a sense of stability and security. It is the peculiarities of family relationships and the general emotional climate in the family that play an important role in the psycho-emotional development of the child and the formation of his self-esteem. The scientific novelty lies in the study of the peculiarities of the formation of self-esteem of children of primary school age under the influence of the family emotional climate precisely in wartime conditions, as well as in identifying the relationship between the nature of family interaction and the level of self-esteem of the child, clarifying the role of parents in the process of its formation.
