Abstract

UA : Текст кваліфікаційної роботи магістра 86 сторінок, 60 джерел. ОБ’ЄКТ ДОСЛІДЖЕННЯ – текст роману Ольги Токарчук «Веди свій плуг понад кістками мертвих» та його переклад на українську мову Божени Антоняк та Маріанни Кіяновської. ПРЕДМЕТ ДОСЛІДЖЕННЯ – специфіка перекладу Божени Антоняк і Маріанни Кіяновської роману «Веди свій плуг понад кістками мертвих». МЕТА РОБОТИ – полягає у комплексному аналізі перекладу роману на українську мову та виявленні стратегій перекладу, що були використані перекладачами. Під час написання роботи передбачається виконання таких ЗАВДАНЬ: - виявити рівень дослідженості перекладацьких стратегій та специфічних особливостей основних перекладацьких стратегій в теорії перекладу художніх творів; - з'ясувати специфіку тексту та контексту художнього твору та його перекладу; - визначити особливості перекладу сучасного художнього твору зі споріднених мов, зокрема з польської на українську мову; - проаналізувати переклад роману О.Токарчук «Веди свій плуг понад кістками мертвих» з польської на українську Боженою Антоняк та зіставити переклад з текстом оригіналу; - зіставити та проаналізувати характер та специфіку звернення до перекладу англомовного матеріалу; - визначити перекладацькі стратегії, що були застосовані перекладачами при роботі над перекладом цього роману. АКТУАЛЬНІСТЬ цього дослідження зумовлена входженням української культури у європейський культурний простір та необхідністю знайомства з літературними надбаннями інших народів через переклад. Це зумовлює увагу до теорії та практики художнього перекладу, формування стратегій перекладу та питань внутрішньотекстової комунікації автора і перекладача, що впливає на рецепцію творів читачем. Актуальною є також проблема перекладу зі слов’янських мов, оскільки довгий час художня література слов’янських народів залишалась маловідомою для українського читача (за винятком російської, яку читали без перекладів і яка пропонувалася частіше за українську). Розширення знань українцями культури інших слов’янських народів сприятиме розвитку уявлень не лише про спільні джерела, коріння, але й про подібність сучасної української аксіосфери до ціннісних систем інших слов’ян, поляків зокрема. НОВИЗНА роботи зумовлена тим, що вперше проводиться не лише аналіз роману, але й зіставлення оригінального тексту та його перекладу, розглядаються специфічні особливості перекладу роману на українську мову, а також перекладацькі стратегії, які були використані перекладачами. МЕТОДИ ДОСЛІДЖЕННЯ – описовий, задля інвентаризації та систематизації мовних одиниць, метод аналізу й синтезу для виявлення лексичних, граматичних та стилістичних особливостей тесту, зіставний метод для виявлення спільних та специфічних рис між мовами у тексті роману та в перекладі, структурно-семантичний метод для аналізу мовних одиниць з погляду на їх структури та значення, а також використаний інструментарій інтертекстуального аналізу через присутність в тексті роману алюзій та цитати-заголовка. ГАЛУЗЬ ЗАСТОСУВАННЯ: матеріали роботи можуть бути використані студентами та викладачами у курсі «Теорія перекладу», у вивчені перекладацьких стратегій на практикумах з перекладу, а також перекладачами задля забезпечення більшої точності перекладу, а також виявлені стратегії можуть слугувати для них як зразок для розв'язання подібних проблем у власних перекладах. СТРУКТУРА РОБОТИ: дослідження складається зі вступу, трьох розділів з підрозділами, висновків та списку використаної літератури. АПРОБАЦІЯ РОБОТИ: матеріали та результати дослідження були представлені в доповіді «Минуле і сучасне як контекст роману О. Токарчук «Веди свій плуг понад кістками мертвих» та його перекладу українською Божени Антоняк» на Всеукраїнській науковій конференції «Література й історія», а також в доповіді «Рецепція роману «Веди свій плуг понад кістками мертвих» в українській критиці» на Всеукраїнській інтернет-конференції студентів, аспірантів і молодих вчених «Українська література в просторі культури і цивілізації».EN :The text of the qualification work 86 pages, 60 sources. OBJECT OF STUDY - the text of Olga Tokarczuk's novel «Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead» and its translation into Ukrainian by Bozhena Antoniak and Marianna Kiyanovska. SUBJECT OF STUDY - the specifics of Bozhena Antoniak and Marianna Kiyanovska's translation of the novel «Drive Your Plough Over the Bones of the Dead». PURPOSE OF THE STUDY - is to make a comprehensive analysis of the translation of the novel into Ukrainian and to identify the translation strategies used by the translators. The study is supposed to solve the following TASKS: 1. To identify the level of research on translation strategies and the nature of the main translation strategies in the theory of literary translation; 2. To find out the specifics of the text and context of the work of art and its translation; 3. To identify the peculiarities of translating a contemporary work of art from related languages, in particular Polish into Ukrainian; 4. To analyse the methods of translation of these features by Bożena Antoniak and compare them with the original text; 5. To compare and analyse the nature of the novel’s intertext reproduction and the specificity of the appeal to English-language material; 6. To identify the translation strategies that used by translators when working on the translation of this novel; RELEVANCE of the study - is argued by the entry of Ukrainian culture into the European cultural space and the need to get acquainted with the literary heritage of other nations through translation. Therefore, attention is paid to the theory and practice of literary translation, the formation of translation strategies, and the issues of intra-textual communication between author and translator, which affects the reader's reception of works. The problem of translation from Slavic languages is also relevant, as for a long time fiction from Slavic peoples remained little known to Ukrainians (with the exception of Russian fiction, which was read without translation and was offered more often than Ukrainian fiction). Expanding Ukrainians' knowledge of the cultures of other Slavic peoples will help develop not only their understanding of common origins and roots, but also the similarities between the modern Ukrainian axiosphere and the value systems of other Slavs, including Poles. SCIENTIFIC NOVELTY is due to the fact that for the first time, not only is the novel analyzed, but also a comparison of the original text and its translation is conducted. The specific features of translating the novel into Ukrainian are examined, as well as the translation strategies employed by the translators. RESEARCH METHODS - descriptive method for inventorying and systematising language units, analysis and synthesis method for identifying lexical, grammatical and stylistic features of the test, comparative method for identifying common and specific features between languages in the text of the novel and in translation, structural and semantic method for analysing language units in terms of their structure and meaning, as well as the tools of intertextual analysis due to the presence of allusions and quotations in the text of the novel. FIELD OF APPLICATION: the materials of the work can be used by students and teachers in the course «Translation Theory», when studying translation strategies in translation workshops, as well as by translators to ensure greater accuracy of translation, and the identified strategies can serve as a model for them to solve similar problems in their own translations. STRUCTURE OF WORK: the study consists of an introduction, three chapters with subsections, conclusions and a list of references. APPROBATION OF THE WORK: materials and research results were presented in the report «Past and present as a context of O. Tokarczuk’s novel «Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead» and its Ukrainian translation by Bozhena Antoniak» at the All-Ukrainian scientific conference «Literature and history», as well as in the report «Reception of the novel «Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead» in Ukrainian criticism» at the All-Ukrainian internet conference of students, aspirants and young researchers «Ukrainian literature in the space of the culture and civilisation».
