Особливості перекладу та адаптації кінодіалогів українською мовою в анімаційному фільмі “Cars”

Abstract

UA : Об’єкт дослідження: кінодіалоги мультфільму “Cars” студії Pixar. Мета роботи: виявлення та аналіз особливостей перекладу й адаптації кінодіалогів в анімаційному фільмі “Cars” з метою визначення ефективних перекладацьких стратегій, що забезпечують адекватне сприйняття аудіовізуального продукту українською аудиторією. Теоретико-методологічні засади: положення теорії аудіовізуального перекладу, локалізації, лінгвокультурології та практики відтворення гумору й культурно маркованих елементівв анімаційних фільмах. Використано порівняльно-аналітичний, дескриптивний, контекстуально-інтерпретаційний, лінгвокультурологічний методи та елементи кількісного аналізу. Отримані результати: установлено основні типи перекладацьких трансформацій, застосовані під час локалізації анімаційного фільму; визначено стратегії передачі гумору, гри слів, алюзій та культурно маркованих елементів; простежено способи збереження комічного ефекту, стилістики та індивідуальної мовної характеристики персонажів; окреслено чинники, що впливають на добір перекладацьких рішень. Доведено, що успішна локалізація мультфільму потребує комплексного поєднання стилістичних, прагматичних і культурних адаптацій, орієнтованих на природне сприйняття українською аудиторією.EN : The presented research is devoted to the analysis of a topical problem of modern translation studies, namely the peculiarities of translating and localizing cinematic dialogues in animated films, with a particular focus on the linguistic, stylistic and cultural dimensions of the Ukrainian localization of Pixar’s “Cars”. The object of the work is defined as the cinematic dialogues of the animated film series “Cars”, while the subject encompasses the specific features of their translation and adaptation in the course of Ukrainian dubbing. The relevance of the topic is determined by the growing importance of audiovisual translation in the context of rapid technological development and increasing media consumption, as well as by the need to ensure natural, functional and culturally appropriate localization for the target audience. The main aim of the paper consists in identifying and analyzing the ways, mechanisms and strategies of translating and localizing cinematic dialogues in the animated film “Cars” in order to determine the most effective approaches that contribute to the adequate perception of the film by Ukrainian viewers. The conducted research offers a comprehensive analysis of the translation strategies found in the Ukrainian dubbing of “Cars”, including the means of conveying humour, stylistic colouring and character identity, as well as the techniques of adapting culturally specific elements. The material encompasses the original English-language scripts of all three films (“Cars” (2006), “Cars 2” (2011) and “Cars 3” (2017)) and their official Ukrainian dubbing produced by B&H Film Distribution. The study also clarifies the influence of cultural and pragmatic factors on translation solutions and evaluates the naturalness and adequacy of the Ukrainian localization.
