EN : Qualification paper –51 pages, 1 figure, 14 tables, 60 references. Object of the research –the training process of highly qualified football players. Subject of the research –the structure and content of the training process of highly qualified football players in the pre-competition mesocycle. Purpose of the research –to develop and substantiate an effective model of the structure and content of the training process of highly qualified football players in the pre-competition mesocycle. Research methods: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature; pedagogical observation; pedagogical experiment; testing of general, special physical, and technical-tactical preparedness; methods of mathematical statistics. The paper considers the features of building the training process of highly qualified football players in the pre-competition mesocycle, aimed at the optimal combination of means of general, special physical, and technical-tactical preparation. Special attention is paid to the development of a training process model that takes into account the specifics of game activity, the stages of preparation, and the need to bring athletes to peak form before the start of competitions. The organization of the research involved the formation of control and experimental groups of 12 athletes each. During the eight-week pre-competition mesocycle, the experimental group implemented the author’s model of training construction, which provided for the targeted integration of physical, technical, and tactical preparation based on the results of initial testing. The control group used a traditional training methodology. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in the indicators of general, special physical, and technical-tactical preparedness in the players of the experimental group. In particular, the results of tests for speed-strength qualities, endurance, and the effectiveness of technical-tactical actions increased significantly. Statistical analysis confirmed the reliability of differences between the groups (p < 0.05), indicating the effectiveness of the proposed training process model in the pre-competition mesocycle.
