Abstract
EN : The work is presented on 73 pages of printed text, 1 table, 9 figures, 3 appendices. The list of references includes 66 sources. The object of the study is psychological support for orphans in foster families during wartime. Social and psychological assistance to children from foster families has always been in the field of view of scientists and practitioners. This thesis became especially relevant during military operations in Ukraine. That is why the relevance of the topic of the work is due to the urgent need to consider such a multi-level and complex problem as the effectiveness of social support for families that have taken in orphans and children deprived of parental care. This problem correlates with the current state of social self-awareness of Ukrainian society regarding the necessity and expediency of high-quality provision of the legitimate interests and rights of children at the level of world standards so that every girl or boy living in foster families becomes a full-fledged citizen of Ukrainian society, develops as highly educated and highly moral, equal and free individuals of the European community. The role of the family for a child is extremely important. Parents give children life, are responsible for their care and upbringing, assume financial responsibility, have legal authority, including the right to make important decisions on behalf of children. Parents help them feel mutual warmth and love, pass on to children the experience of generations, life values and spirituality, raise children, satisfy daily needs, provide role models, gradually instill social and everyday skills necessary for independent life. All these needs are vital for every child, no matter what age they are. Scientific novelty and field of application: the results of the study can be used by university students to prepare for seminar classes, as well as by psychologists, social educators, social workers, teachers to conduct trainings, lectures, practical classes, etc. In addition, the recommendations we have proposed can be used in the activities of social workers, psychologists, children's services workers regarding psychological support for orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as for adoptive parents regarding the provision of first psychological aid to their children in stressful war situations.
