Abstract
EN : The work is presented on 79 pages, printed text, 7 tables, 5 figures, 4 appendices. The list of references includes 71 sources. The object of the study: gender bias in the educational environment and their impact on the academic achievements of girls. The educational system is one of the key institutions of socialization that ensure the reproduction of the social structure of society, including the relations of gender inequality that have developed in it. Despite formally equal access to educational resources, the actual trajectories and learning outcomes of men and women demonstrate pronounced disparities in both vertical (level of education, academic success) and horizontal (profile of study, specialization) dimensions. One of the mechanisms that ensure the stability of these disparities is the transmission and internalization of gender stereotypes - simplified, schematized, emotionally colored ideas about "typically male" and "typically female" traits, interests, social roles and behavioral models. As numerous studies show, educational institutions that declare the ideas of gender equality at the level of formal institutions most often continue to reproduce traditional stereotypes at the level of the "hidden curriculum" - implicit norms, interaction practices, subject content and educational materials. The internalization of these latently transmitted meanings affects the self-concept, self-esteem and level of aspirations of students who begin to build their educational and professional trajectories in accordance with the learned gender prescriptions. Thus, according to international comparative studies, even in countries with a high level of gender equality, girls tend to choose specializations in the humanities and social sciences, focusing on "helping" professions, while boys are more likely to go into the exact and technical sciences, aiming for more. Such differences are largely explained by the effect of gender stereotypes and autostereotypes. Scientific novelty: for the first time, the influence of gender bias on the academic achievements of 2nd-year university girls was studied; the psychological essence of academic achievements and factors of their formation were revealed; the types and manifestations of gender bias in the educational environment were characterized; the main stages of activities related to the formation of students' gender competence were highlighted.
