Abstract
EN : The work is presented on 67 pages of printed text, contains 18 figures, 10 tables, 3 appendices. The list of references includes 50 sources. The object of the study: the professional activities of patrol police officers. In the current conditions of martial law, the growth of the general level of crime, social tension and psychological instability, the issue of ensuring the effective activity of law enforcement agencies is of particular importance. Patrol police is the first line of contact of citizens with the state, therefore, public safety, public trust in the authorities and stability in society largely depend on the psychological state of its employees. Patrol police officers perform their duties daily in conditions of increased risk: they are faced with aggression, unpredictable situations, threats to life, and at the same time are obliged to act within the law, professionally, restrained and decisively. In such conditions, emotional stability plays a crucial role, both as a personal resource that allows maintaining internal balance, and as a factor of professional reliability, the ability to respond quickly, self-control and make optimal decisions. The increase in psychological stress on police personnel, the need to adapt to new types of threats and prolonged stay in a state of combat readiness significantly increase the risk of professional burnout, maladjustment, conflict situations and erroneous decisions. A low level of emotional stability can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of activities, loss of the police's authority among citizens, and in critical cases, even a violation of professional ethics. The scientific novelty of the obtained research results lies in the fact that within the framework of the work, the psychological features of the emotional stability of patrol police officers under professional stress have been generalized and specified. The relationship between the level of emotional stability and the quality of performance of official tasks within the framework of patrol activities has been analyzed.
