Abstract
EN : The study is presented on 66 pages, contains 4 tables, 2 illustration and is based on 59 sources of literature. The objects of the study were hunting dogs and the red fox, which lives in the territory of Zaporizhia region. To achieve the set goals, data from the Zaporizhia Regional Council of the UTMR, the Zaporizhia District Organization of the UTMR, the Zaporizhia Regional Society of Hunters - Supporters of Hunting with Hunting Dogs, as well as information from scientific and professional literature were collected, processed and analyzed. The study of the biotope distribution of the red fox was carried out according to generally accepted methods, which are based on recording cases of detection of animals or traces of their vital activity. The distribution analysis was carried out using the indicator of relative population density, which is determined based on the number of registered individuals and traces per unit area. The study used data on the number of animals and tracks found in different biotopes per 1000 hectares. To study the relationship between the number of foxes caught and the number of burrowing dogs, correlation analysis and linear regression (according to Kenuy) methods were used. The main methods of fox hunting in the Zaporizhia region with the participation of hunting dogs - hound and burrowing breeds - were also established and characterized.
