Переклад дитячої літератури з англійської мови на українську (на матеріалі твору Дж. К. Роулінг «Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them»)

Abstract

UA : Дипломна робота – 65 стор., 68 джерел, 1 додаток. Об’єкт дослідження: переклад сучасної дитячої літератури. Мета роботи: дослідження є визначення особливостей перекладу дитячої літератури на прикладі конкретного твору та виявлення перекладознавчих стратегій і тактик відтворення стилістичних засобів як істотних елементів індивідуального стилю автора. Теоретико-методологічні засади: роботи таких науковців як Г. Нойманн, Г. Клінгберґ, Е. О’Салліван, Т. Пууртінен, Р. Ойттінен, З. Шавіт, Л.-Л. Персон, Г. Турі, М. Бережна, С. Вольштейн, Р. Зорівчак, К. Зайчук, А. Мануілова, О. Ребрій. Отримані результати: переклад дитячої літератури має свої специфічні риси серед яких необхідність орієнтування на конкретну дитячу аудиторію, враховуючи такі аспекти, як вік дитини, її мовну компетенцію та обсяг знань про навколишній світ. Проблеми перекладу дитячої літератури краще розглядати з позицій прагматики, адже прагматичний потенціал творів для дітей, як правило, вищий, ніж для дорослих. В ході аналізу твору, перекладеного В. Морозовим було виявлено, що основними способами перекладу у нього виступають транскрибування, калька, еквівалентний переклад (при перекладі онімів), дослівний переклад та смисловий розвиток (при передачі стилістичних засобів). В результаті дослідження були вироблені рекомендації щодо перекладу дитячої літератури.

EN : The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of such a topical problem as the translation of children`s literature from English into Ukrainian the case study is the book “Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them” by Jоanne Kathleen Rowling. The object of the work is the translation of contemporary children's literature. The main aims of the paper are to determine the features of translation of children's literature, translation strategies and tactics of reproduction of stylistic means as essential elements of an individual style of an author and their functions in the text of translation, taking into account children`s age and psychological characteristics. The realization of these aims determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: - to identify specific features of children's literature that are relevant for translation; - to reveal and describe the features of the translation of children's literature; - to disclose the permissible limits of pragmatic adaptation as a key strategy in translation of children's literature; - to identify the features of J. K. Rowling's individual style; - to define the translation strategies, methods and means which are the most fruitful for rendering the original text. The scientific novelty of the presented research lies in the fact that for the first time the Ukrainian translation of J. K. Rowling's book “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” was investigated and analyzed, resulting in creation of a list of recommendations for the translators of children’s literature.
