Порівняльний аналіз українського та російського перекладу трилогії Дебори Гаркнесс “A Discovery of Witches” у контексті постмодерністської естетики

Abstract

EN : The presented paper is dedicated to the comparative analyses of the Ukrainian and Russian translation of the trilogy by Deborah Harkness “A discovery of witches” in the context of postmodern esthetics. The object of the work can be defined as the comparison of the ways of using vocabulary and grammar resources of two languages for adequate translation of the original text focusing on the concepts of postmodernism. The main aim of the paper consists in analyzing the forms, mechanisms and ways of the appropriate representation of artistic techniques and concepts by using resources of two languages – Ukrainian and Russian. It determined the accomplishment of the following tasks: - to confirm the connection between the translation of a specific text and general postmodern concept; - to conduct a profound comparative analyses of the methods of translation into Ukrainian and Russian languages; - to study the connection between the translator's perception of postmodern concepts, evaluation of their role in the text and the quality of translation. There are different methods of representation of artistic techniques in different languages. Features of postmodernism literary texts and their translations into Ukrainian, Russian languages are presented in the thesis. The research proves that for adequate translation the translator should know the biography and worldview of the author and esthetic concepts of postmodernism as well as be able to apply creativity in the process of translation. The scientific novelty of the presented research is in the theory that all postmodern texts are parts of one global intertext and translators should take into consideration not only specifics of source and target languages, but also the cultural background.

Мета роботи: вивчення принципів побудови постмодерністського тексту, відтворення естетичних принципів, художніх концепцій та структури творів при перекладі українською та російською мовами. Теоретико-методологічні засади: теоретична основа та методологія прагматики, когнітивістики, семіотики, герменевтики, феноменології, психолінгвістики, полімодальності та ономастики (Д. Леонтьєв, М. Інвуд, Д. Селескович, М. Вертгеймер, І. Горєлов, Б. Величковський, О. Потебня, Ф. Шлейермахер, В. Юшак, І. Гальперін та ін.) та теоретичні дослідження постмодернізму (М. Роуз, М. Фуко, І. Хассан, І. Ільїн, Р. Барт, Д. Фоккем, Т. Д'ан, Ю. Крістева, В. Вельш, Дж. Феттерлі та ін.). Отримані результати: Постмодернізм – складне поняття, яке включає в себе певне світосприйняття, взаємопов’язані концепції, що впливають на написання та переклад текстів. Було виявлено зв'язок між постмодерністськими концепціями та адекватністю перекладу. Ігровий принцип постмодернізму впливає на переклад власних імен, оказіоналізмів, речень. Аналіз українського та російського перекладу продемонстрував, що переклад кількох мов, акцентів, сленгу та гри слів залежить від того, чи вважає перекладач дані концепції важливими. Було проведено оцінку цитат, віршів, каліграм як складової частини тексту; проаналізовано, як різні перекладачі інтегрують їх у свій переклад. Встановлено, що постмодерністські концепції, форми репрезентації тексту пов’язані з сучасними соціальними проблемами, втілюють ідею глобалізації, синкретизму мистецтва.
