Лінгвостилістичні засоби циклу романів Стівена Кінга “The Shining”, “Doctor Sleep” та проблеми їх перекладу

Abstract

UA : Дипломна робота — 52 сторінки, 41 джерело. Об’єкт дослідження: англомовні тексти циклу романів Стівена Кінга “The Shining”, “Doctor Sleep” та їх україномовний переклад. Мета роботи: дослідження труднощів, що виникають у процесі перекладу лінгвостилістичних засобів на матеріалі романів “The Shining”, “Doctor Sleep” Стівена Кінга та їх україномовних перекладів, виконаних Олександром Красюком. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові теорії специфіки перекладу художнього тексту та перекладацьких трансформацій (В. В. Виноградов, О. О. Селіванова, М. М. Бахтін, В. Н. Комісаров, Ж. Мунен, А. В. Мамрак). Отримані результати: проведений аналіз продемонстрував, що для експресивності передачі атмосфери жаку в художньому творі автор текстів окрім загальновживаної нейтральної лексики використовує лексику для мовної репрезентації емоцій, а саме: вигукові слова та фрази, стилістичні тропи та лексику різних прошарків (діалектизми, вульгаризми, жаргонізми, терміни, сленгізми). Також, аналіз різних лексико-стилістичних трансформацій, використаних при перекладі романів Стівена Кінга “The Shining”, “Doctor Sleep” з англійської мови на українську, показав, що найбільш використовуваними стилістичними засобами являються метафора, епітети та порівняння. Загалом, перекладач виконав переклад стилістичних засобів за допомогою дослівного або буквального перекладу.

EN : Translation is a specific communicative act. Its main task is to promote interlinguistic and intercultural communication. Translation is rather difficult and responsible process as the translated text should transmit the same intentions as the original. Translation demands not only linguistic knowledge but also competence in numerous spheres of people’s life. So the basis of translation is not only vocabulary and grammar rules but the whole culture. Literary translation is a very specific kind of translation as it is connected with aesthetic and expressive functions of the literary text. Translator should not only transmit the information given in the text but to produce the same emotional and aesthetic impression to the reader as the original text. So the most important problem of literary translation is to find ways to translate stylistic means, to find or create equivalents in another language. That is why translator is often considered as co-author. The Diploma work researches the peculiarities of the Ukrainian translation of the works by Stephen King “Doctor Sleep”, “The Green mile”, “The shining”. The specific subject of the work is the lingostylistic devices in the world of horror. The expressive means of the work are translated with the different degree of adequacy. This is caused by the difference in semantic and structural systems of English and Ukrainian language. It must be said that the translator did a couple of unjustified substitutions. The findings of the Diploma work can be contributory to the theory and history of literary translation, especially in the context of Ukraine’s culture, and to the studies and further development and translation of modern English literature in Ukraine.
