Англомовні математичні терміни та специфіка їхнього перекладу

Abstract

UA : Кваліфікаційна робота – 64 стор., 51 джерело. Об’єкт дослідження: процес перекладу термінів, які зустрічаються в англомовній математичній літературі. Мета роботи: описати специфіку математичної термінології, яка використовується в певних розділах математики та проаналізувати особливості перекладу математичних термінів. Теоретико-методологічні засади: теоретичні засади, щодо роботи із науково-технічною літературою. Отримані результати: в кваліфікаційній роботі наведені різні означення поняття терміну, різні підходи до визначення понять термінології та терміносистеми, класифікації науково-технічних термінів за різними ознаками. Проведена класифікація математичних термінів із оригінальної математичної книги та проаналізовано особливості перекладу англомовних математичних термінів з цієї книги.

EN : The presented qualifying work is dedicated to the analysis of such important concepts as the term, the terminology and the term system. The object of the work can be defined as the study of the translation of the English mathematical terms. The main aim of the work consists in the describing of the particularities of the mathematical terminology, which is used in the different sections of mathematics, and in analyzing the specific features of the translation of the mathematical terms. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: - profound analysis and systematization of the theoretical foundations of the scientific and technical translation; - development of the classification of the mathematical terms from the book which is under the investigation; - study the specific features of the translation of the mathematical terms from this book. The scientific novelty of the presented research lies in the classifying the terms from the specific book on mathematics and analyzing the specific features of the translation of the terms, which are used in the definitions and theorems.
