Особливості відтворення англомовних власних назв у художньому тексті (на матеріалі твору Дж. Р. Толкіна „The Lord Of The Rings”)

Abstract

UA : Дипломна робота – 50 стор., 61 джерело, 1 додаток Об’єкт дослідження: англомовні власні назви. Мета роботи: аналіз та розкриття особливостей відтворення англомовних власних назв у художньому тексті. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення теоретичних засад ономастики (О. В. Суперанська, В. С. Виноградов, Т. А. Казакова, С. Влахов, С. Флорін, Д. І. Єрмолович на інші). Отримані результати: Проаналізувавши переклад англомовних власних назв ми виявили, що основними особливостями відтворення є, які можуть впливати на процес: походження власних назв зі штучних та древніх мов, промовистість більшості імен, морфологічні відмінності двох мов, специфічне стильове забарвлення, характерне автору твору, зв’язок основного твору з іншим творами Дж. Р. Р. Толкіна. Ми розглянули 4 варіанти перекладу і визначили, що найбільш поширеними прийомами відтворення власних назв є транскодування та калькування, а перекладачі не завжди прислухаються до порад автора і обирають власні стратегії та прийоми перекладу. Завдяки опрацьованому матеріалу ми дійшли висновку, що варіативність перекладів є корисною через можливість розгляду кожних окремих прикладів з різних поглядів та використання цього знання в наступних працях та перекладах схожих творів.

EN : The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of such a problem as the translation of English proper names in the literary text. The subject of this work is the peculiarities of the reproduction of English proper names in the literary text on the example of the material of the work of J. R. R. Tolkien “The Lord of the Rings”. The main purpose consists in analyzing the specifics, methods, techniques and ways of translating English titles in the work, which is achieved by accomplishing the following objectives: - profound analysis and systematization of the theoretical principles of classification, methods and strategies of translation of English proper names; - study and analysis of the translation of English proper names in the work of J. R. R. Tolkien “The Lord of the Rings”. The paper presents the definition of the term “proper name”, provides several classifications of this concept and describes the basic techniques of translation of proper names. We have considered three translation options and determined that the most common methods of reproducing proper names are transcoding and calque, translators do not always listen to the author's advice and choose their own translation strategies and techniques. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using its results for further elaboration of the topic of the proper name in scientific works and practical classes in translation studies.
