Англомовна біблійна лексика і фразеологія у творчості Ґ. К. Честертона та специфіка її відтворення українською мовою

Abstract

EN : The paper focuses on multidimensional research of English bibleisms and is devoted to the problem of translation bibleisms used by G. K. Chesterton into Ukrainian language. The object of the work can be defined as studying biblical vocabulary and phraseology. The main aim of the paper is to analyze the main difficulties that arise in the English-language reproduction of the meaning of bibleisms and to find the most effective translation solutions. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: - outlining theoretical (linguistic and socio-cultural) prerequisites of the research; - identifying the characteristics of bibleisms; - presenting the classification of bibleisms according to different criteria; - outlining the corpus of lexical and phraseological bibleisms in the works of G. K. Chesterton. - analyzing the ways of translating bibleisms in the works of G. K. Chesterton and the difficulties they cause in translation. - providing translation of G. K. Chesterton’s bibleisms into Ukrainian. The term ‘bibleism’ means “lexical and phraseological units that are relevant both to the Bible and Christianity in general, and to concepts relating to religious life”. In the course of the research, translation decisions and difficulties in reproducing the meaning of G. K Chesterton’s bibleisms into Ukrainian language were characterized. The scientific novelty of the research lies in solving problems of translation of bibleisms including the reproduction of the meaning of bibleisms and their translation in the works of G. K. Chesterton.

UA : Загальна кількість сторінок 71, кількість використаних джерел складає 64 позиції. Об'єктом даного дипломного дослідження є біблійна лексика та фразеологія. Предметом цього дослідження є способи досягнення адекватності при перекладі біблеїзмів, вилучених з праць Ґ. К. Честертона «Вічна Людина» і «Куля і Хрест». Метою дослідження є аналіз основних труднощів, що виникають при англомовному відтворенні значення біблеїзмів та віднайдення найбільш ефективних перекладацьких рішень. Отримані результати: Результати дослідження можуть бути використані в лексикографічній практиці, в практиці викладання спецкурсів та спецсемінарів з перекладознавства. Результати, отримані в роботі, становлять інтерес для лінгвістів, перекладознавців та лінгвокультурологів.
