Предметом дослідження є специфіка застосування перекладацьких трансформацій при трансляції роману У.С. Моема “Theatre” Мета роботи: є визначити особливості перекладу художнього тексту і виявити закономірності застосування перекладацьких трансформацій.
Теоретико-методологічні засади: класичних і нових теоретичних праць з перекладознавства (Л. С. Бархударов, Р. К., Міньяр-Белоручев,
Я. Й. Рецкер, А. Д. Швейцер, В. Е. Щетінкін, Л. К. Латишев, В. Н. Коміссаров, В. Г. Гак ), що уможливлює аналіз перекладу художнього тексту.
Отримані результати: переклад розглядається як процес і продукт перекладацької діяльності. Якість оцінюється крізь призму його адекватності. Досягти необхідного рівня адекватності можливо за допомогою застосування перекладацьких трансформацій. Останні можуть бути лексичними, граматичними, стилістичними. Серед лексичних трансформацій слід зазначити: 1) транскрипція і транслітерація; 2) калькування; 3) конкретизація; 4) генералізація; 5) смисловий розвиток; 6) антонімічний переклад; 7) експлікація; 8) компенсація; 9) цілісне перевтілення. До граматичних трансформацій відносяться: 1) перестановка; 2) заміна; 3) додавання; 4) опущення. Поміж стилістичних перекладацьких трансформацій є: логізація, експресивація. модернізація та архаїзація. Всі вони застосовані Г. Островською при відтворені перекладу, що забезпечує необхідний рівень адекватного перекладу.
EN : The presented paper is dedicated to the investigation of such a topical problem as the translation features of the novel by W. Somerset Maugham "Theatre".
The object of the study is translation transformations in the reproduction of the artistic text. The subject of the research is the specificity of the application of translation transformations in the translation of the novel by W. Somerset Maugham "Theatre".
Translator’s transformations belong to the one of central issues in translation although classification has caused controversy among scientists. Based on our analysis, we have distinguished classifications by L. S. Barkhudarov, R. K. Miniar-Beloruchev, Y. I. Retzker, A. D. Schweitzer, V. E. Shchetinkin, L.K. Latyshev, V.N. Komissarov, V.G. Hak., which make it possible to analyze the translation of an artistic text.
Translation is regarded as a process and product of translation. Quality is judged through the prism of its adequacy. It is possible to achieve the necessary level of adequacy through the use of translation transformations. The latter can be lexical, grammatical, stylistic. Among the lexical transformations should be noted:
1) transcription and transliteration; 2) calculations; 3) concretization; 4) generalization; 5) semantic development; 6) antonymic translation; 7) explication; 8) compensation; 9) holistic reincarnation. The grammatical transformations include: 1) permutation; 2) replacement; 3) adding; 4) omission. Among the stylistic translation transformations are: logisation, expression. modernization and archaization. All of them are applied by G. Ostrovskaya in the reproduction of translation, which provides the necessary level of adequate translation.
