Мета роботи: виявлення особливості відтворення поетики роману
Френсіса Скотта Фіцджеральда «Великий Гетсбі» у сучасному кінематографі.
Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення
«інтермедіальності» в мистецтвознавстві та літературознавстві (Й. Хельбіг,
С. М. Ейзенштейн, Ю. М. Лотман, В. І. Мільдон, Л. Хатчен).
Отримані результати: головною характеристикою медіа-текстів, до
яких можна віднести кіносценарій та екранізацію літературного твору, є їхня
принципова «вторинність» до тексту першоджерела (В. І. Мільдон,
Л. Г. Антонова, Ю. В. Рождественский). Під час трансформації у кінотекст
режисера Б. Лурмана роман Ф. С. Фіцджеральда «Великий Гетсбі» зазнає
таких перетворень: форматні (редукція тексту, зменшення тривалості фільму
відносно твору); типологічні (реалізація закону цілісності кіномистецтва,
зміна адресованості); зміни на сюжетно-композиційному рівні (збереження,
видалення, перестановки, заміни (модуляції) і додавання окремих елементів
по відношенню до тексту літературного твору); переосмислення образів
персонажів згідно із задумом авторів екранізації та соціокультурного
контексту.
EN : The work is presented on 53 pages of printed text. The list of references includes 57 sources. The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of film adaptation as a kind of
literary work interpretation in the context of intermedial studies.
The object of the work can be defined as specifics of intermedial interaction
of literary text and its screen adaptation.
The main aim of the paper consists in the identification of modern
cinematographers’ reception of the novel “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott
Fitzgerald. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as:
— identification and systematization of cinema and literature interaction
features;
— detection of fiction and cinema compatible functions;
— examination of literary text and its film adaptation comparison theoretical
aspects;
— profound analysis of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel format and typological
modifications in the film adaptation by B. Luhrman (2013);
— investigation of transformations on the compositional level of the primary
text and its film adaptation;
— description of characters’ modifications in the film adaptation.
The particular analysis of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel intermediate
transformation in the B. Luhrman’s film is offered in the work. The author proves
that the initial literary text undergoes formative and typological modifications,
transformations on the compositional level and characters’ revisions in the film
adaptation.
The scientific novelty of the presented research defined by the following
systematization of the literary work and the film interaction peculiarities, focusing
on the script as a separate type of text that acts as a mediator between literature and
cinematography, approbation of the theoretical material of this research in the
process of studying film version if F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “Great Gatsby”.
