The qualifying work gives theoretical survey and describes the experimental research of the social adaptation of children with special educational needs in an inclusive class.
The research object: the process of social adaptation of pupils with special educational needs to study in an inclusive class of a general secondary education institution.
The research subject: the socio-pedagogical conditions of social adaptation of children with special educational needs to study in an inclusive class of a general secondary education institution.
The research purpose: theoretical background and experimental verification of the socio-pedagogical conditions of adaptation of students with special educational needs in an inclusive class of general secondary education.
The research tasks are:
1. to define the essence and content of the child’s social adaptation to school;
2. to analyze the legal framework for the education of children with special educational needs in an inclusive class of general secondary education;
3. to define the the peculiarities of the development and education of children with mental retardation;
4. to identify the features and conditions of social adaptation in an inclusive class of general secondary education;
5. to determine and experimentally test the socio-pedagogical conditions of adaptation of students with special educational needs to study in an inclusive class of a general secondary school.
The part 1 “Theoretical background of social adaptation of pupils with special educational needs in an inclusive class of school of general secondary educationˮ describes the essence of the notion “social adaptation to school”, its features as a pedagogical phenomenon; considers peculiarities of children with special educational needs in a general secondary education institution, the legal framework for the inclusive education of children with special educational needs.
The part 2 “The socio-pedagogical conditions of adaptation of pupils with special educational needs to study in an inclusive class of a general secondary education institution” shows the results of indicative, formative and controlled phases of experiments on conditions of social adaptation of children with special educational needs in an inclusive class of general secondary education. The analysis of the results has proved the effectiveness of the developed and implemented program of social adaptation of children with special educational needs in a general secondary education institution.

Методи дослідження: теоретичні – аналіз, систематизація, узагальнення;
емпіричні – опитувальники, контент-аналіз, педагогічний експеримент; статистичні
методи обробки даних.
Теоретичне значення роботи полягає у визначенні, змістовному розкритті
соціально-педагогічних умов адаптації учнів з особливими освітніми потребами
до навчання в інклюзивному класі закладу загальної середньої освіти.
Практичне значення роботи полягає у розробці програми упровадження цих
умов адаптації учнів з особливими освітніми потребами до навчання в
інклюзивному класі закладу загальної середньої освіти.
