Особливості перекладу англомовних художніх фільмів “Scent of Woman”, “What Women Want”, “Something Is Gotta Give” українською мовою

Abstract

UA : Дипломна робота − 81 стор., 92 джерела. Об’єкт дослідження: параметри аудіомедіальних текстів в аспекті перекладацької діяльності. Мета роботи: визначити особливостей перекладу кінематографічних матеріалів, проаналізувати перекладацькі прийоми та виявити закономірності перекладу англомовних художніх кінотекстів українською мовою. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення перекладознавства, розроблені В. Комісаровим, А. Поповичем, А. Федоровим, принципи теорії перекладу, розроблені В. Карабаном, І. Корунцем, Т. Кияком та ін.). Отримані результати: Динамічна еквівалентність виступає головним засобом відтворення тотожного впливу на глядача перекладеної картини та головним критерієм оцінки якості перекладу. Вимоги до перекладу кінематографічних творів сформульовано відповідно до фонетичного, лексико-семантичного і синтаксичного рівнів. Під час перекладу кінематографічних матеріалів перекладач поєднує лексичні, граматичні та стилістичні трансформації, кількість трансформацій змішаного типу значно перевищує кількість трансформацій одного типу. Реалії, фразеологізми та сленг становлять найбільшу складність для перекладу англомовних художніх фільмів “Scent of woman” (реж. Мартін Брест), “What women want” і “Something is gotta give”. Основними способами перекладу є: транскрибування, калькування, описовий переклад, смисловий розвиток. Перекладацька стратегія полягає у збережені комунікативної функції та відображенні тотожної естетичної функції.

EN : The research deals with the up-to-date issue in the theory of translation and intercultural studies - the problem of translation in cinematograph which is one of the most popular modern arts. The language of this art (audio-media text) consists 88 not only of the linguistic means but also of the graphic, acoustical and visual means. Audio-media text is a modern type of text that is not perfectly explored. The objective of the research is to define lingual and cultural peculiarities in the process of translating English movies into Ukrainian. The article highlights the notion of equivalence within the issue of its achieving. This research reveals a systematized study of transformations used in order to attain the equivalence translating cinematographic texts. The analysis showed that cinematographic texts have several peculiar peculiarities, which require special attention from the translator, because they may cause serious mistakes promoting misunderstanding. The present research focuses on the ways and methods of audio-media text translation. The basic methods of translation of cinematographic texts are the same as those of literary translation. Among the most extensively used lexical transformations are the following: specification, generalization, modulation. We have identified that antonymous translation and substitution are the most frequently used grammatical transformations. The analysis of factual material showed that in order to achieve the equivalence translator should use several transformations at the same time. Especially he has to pay attention to the stylistic transformations, since he has to take into account ethnic and cultural differences.
