Переклад пісень з англійської мови українською та російською (на матеріалі художнього фільму “The Greatest Showman”)

Abstract

EN : The presented paper addresses the literary translation of songs in the context of audiovisual material based on the film “The Greatest Showman”. The object of the work is the original of the songs in the film (Source Material) “The Greatest Showman” and their translation (Target Material). The main aim of the paper is to pinpoint the translation techniques of English-Russian and English-Ukrainian translation. The main goal shaped the accomplishment of the following objectives: - profound analysis of the film translation, including its types and features - studying the theory of the literary translation - investigation of translation techniques of represented audiovisual materials The two most common translation methods of songs in the film “The Greatest Showman” are modulation and syntactic assimilation (wordbased translation). Specification and logical/idea development are most typical lexical translation techniques, while lexico-grammatical transformations (descriptive and antonymous translation) are less common. The scientific novelty of the presented research lies in the innovative complex exploration of the ways and methods of translating songs, based on the new material of the film “The Greatest Showman”, that has not previously been in the spotlight of translation research.

UA : Дипломна робота – 52 стор., 54 джерела. Об’єктом дослідження: оригінал і переклади російською та українською мовами пісень художнього фільму “The Greatest Showman”. Мета роботи: виявлення лінгвальних особливостей перекладу пісень та перекладацьких прийомів на матеріалі художнього фільму “The Greatest Showman” з англійської мови на українську та російську мови. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення теорії кноперекладу, його типи та визначення (Конкульовский В. В., Горшкова В. Є., Малик В. М., Белько Є. В., Сінтас Дж., Кронін М., Ореро П та інші) теоретичні засади художнього перекладу (Некряч Т. Є., Чала Ю. П, Шепель Ю. О., Франціс Р. та інші). Отримані результати: в процесі дослідження були розглянуті особливості перекладу пісенних текстів та проаналізовані засоби їх перекладу. Найбільш розповсюдженими виявилися такі перекладацькі трансформації: дослівний переклад, модуляція або смисловий розвиток та додавання. Найменш вживаними прийомами перекладу виявилися антонімічний переклад, генералізація та опущення. Автор роботи коментує вибрані переклади у дослідницькій частині.
