Мета роботи - виявлення основних засобів вираження емоцій, котрі
використовуються у у англомовній літературі (зокрема у романі Джейн Остін
«Гордість та упередження»).
Об'єктом дослідження виступають тексти англомовних романів.
Теоретико-методологічні засади: вивчення мовних засобів вираження
емотивності в працях В. І. Шаховського, І. П. Іванової, В. В. Бурлакової,
Г. Г. Почепцова, Л. Ф. Кутузова, Л. А. Піотровська, Е. А. Нушикян,
М. М. Бахтіна, Д. С. Ліхачова, В. Вундта.
Отримані результати: На лексичному рівні іронічність висловлювань
створюють діалектні та просторічні вкраплення, епітети та прикметники
емоційного стану.
Щодо синтаксичних засобів, то при повторі одного слова промовець
поглиблює провідний елемент переносного сенсу висловлювання, наділяючи
пропозицію емоційно-експресивним зарядом. Наприклад у окличних
реченнях з вигуками what, such, дані займенникові слова не є запитальними
словами, а виконують роль емоційно-підсилювальних елементів.
З приводу роману Дж. Остін, то основними виразними засобами
створення образів головних героїв роману є епітети, повтори, риторичні
питання, антитеза, метафора та інші. Використання виразних засобів у
зіставленні та протиставленні певних образних характеристик дозволяє
читачеві розшифрувати різні рівні ідейного змісту роману.

The purpose of the work is to identify the main means of expressing emotions used in English-language literature (particularly in Jane Austen's novel "Pride and prejudice").
The object of study are the texts of English-language novels.
Theoretical and methodological principles: the study of linguistic means of expression emotionality in the works of VI Shakhovsky, IP Ivanova, VV Burlakova, GG Pocheptsova, LF Kutuzova, LA Piotrovskaya, EA Nushikyan, MM Bakhtin, DS Likhachev, V. Wundt.
The results obtained: At the lexical level, the irony of statements create dialectal and spatial inclusions, epithets and adjectives emotional state.
As for syntactic means, when repeating one word the speaker deepens the leading element of the figurative meaning of the expression, giving offer an emotionally expressive charge. For example, exclamatory sentences with exclamations what, such, given pronoun words are not interrogative
words, and perform the role of emotional and reinforcing elements.
Regarding J. Austin's novel, the main means of expression creating images of the main characters of the novel are epithets, repetitions, rhetorical questions, antithesis, metaphor and others. The use of expressive means in comparison and contrast of certain figurative characteristics allows
the reader to decipher the different levels of ideological content of the novel.
